Our Company

The Putnam County Honor Guard was established on July 17, 2001. We honor and represent our fellow brothers and sisters who work in several Public Safety Divisions. We were originally formed to honor and represent those in Law Enforcement and the military. We have since added Fire and EMS.

We honor and represent them because of their service and dedication to their respected fields and for those who have passed from this life in to a greater place. It is our intention to assist them and their families during their time of emotional mourning from the loss or debilitating injury of their loved one.

The Putnam County Honor Guard is made up of Law Enforcement Officers from local Police Departments and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, although a few serve on other branches of Public Service also. We have represented our Agencies and Putnam County's Public Safety at local parades, flag presentations, and any other requested events that honor Putnam County's Safety Services and our Military. We have honored our fallen comrades at their funerals and at the request of their families. Those on this Honor Guard do this a a volunteer organization.
